About Us

WELCOME

Welcome to Butterstile Primary School.

Our aim for all our children is to achieve their potential, not just academically, but also socially, emotionally and creatively.

At Butterstile, we strongly believe that a child's primary school years should be filled with experiences that enable children to learn, but also to have fun, providing them with happy memories and a life long love of learning. We pride ourselves on high academic standards, but also place great emphasis on the development of the whole child.

We are extremely proud of our school and the curriculum we have created. Through the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals and UNICEF's Rights Respecting School, we encourage our children to be global citizens, as well as being an active part of our local community. As well as classroom based learning, the importance of nature and play to promote positive mental health, can be seen from Nursery to Year 6, through Forest School and many outdoor learning opportunities.

In preparing our children for life beyond Butterstile, we work closely with our local high schools and we are part of the 'Start Small; Dream Big' project, inspiring our pupils for their future careers. We aim to prepare each child to take the next steps in their education, and on into their adult lives, with confidence and with an understanding of the world in which they live.

On our website, you will find lots more information about our school. However, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, where you can also arrange a visit.

We look forward to meeting you and your child.
