Welcome back to school. I hope you all had a lovely, relaxing summer.
I am pleased to inform you that the children are settling well into their new classes and have been working hard. Talking with some of our children they have been telling me that they are excited but a bit nervous to be in a new class. I always explain to the children that this is normal when we experience change. However, if you have any concerns about settling back into school there is a very good article on the Place2Be website which can be accessed here:
Over the next few days you will be receiving a dojo message inviting you to come and meet your child's teacher. It is a great opportunity to find out about the year ahead and I would strongly advise you to attend, if you can. Feedback from parents last year was very positive and we hope that this year will also be useful for you.
In the next few weeks we will be sending out a survey for parents asking for your views on the PTA. I do hope that as many families as possible complete the survey as we want to build on the hard work of previous and present PTA's to make it even better.
Mr McClean, Mrs Edwards and myself will be using this blog, dojo and twitter to update you on the life of the school. It is important that you take a look at the school website too as we have been populating the school calendar with all the events for the year.
Many thanks and enjoy the weekend.
