What a fantastic start to a Friday. The year 6 assembly about lives of Victorian children was incredible. Well done to all year 6 children and staff involved. It was great to see the whole school and parents gathered for a class assembly.
We have had many special visitors in school this week. Councillor Rishi Shori, leader of Bury council, visited on Wednesday to talk about the work we do with children and families. We also had a visit from Allan Torr, an OFSTED inspector, on Tuesday. Again he came to talk about the work we do with all of the children and families at Butterstile. His report will be published in a few weeks time and we look forward to sharing his findings with our community.
Speaking of visits I was delighted to accompany year 2 on their trip to Manchester museum on Wednesday. We got the chance to explore the museum's collections and become palaeontologists for the day, discovering fossils and working out the creatures they belonged to. All the children behaved brilliantly I was very proud.
