It was wonderful to see the children in their own clothes today supporting Children in Need. The final count of money raised is not yet done but the buckets felt heavy. Thank you to all who supported us in raising money for this great cause and thanks to Year 4 who reminded us in assembly what all the fun is about!
After many months and times when I thought I might be working on a building site forever, we have come to the end of the final phase of building at Butterstile. The corridors have been reopened, the playground is back to full size and the children are now occupying three brand new classrooms. We are all very grateful to the children and our parents and friends who have shown great patience as classrooms moved and exits changed, building compounds went up and then moved. Through it all our children have carried on, working hard and doing their very best. Our staff too have put up with the changes and difficulties with smiles on their faces. Thanks to all of you.
Thank you also to the building team who have faced their own challenges working in a school
The school is now getting back to normal, the new building looks great, see the pictures below, and the new classrooms are being enjoyed by the children. There are one or two little things left to finish and something new coming to the playground next week, keep watching!
