Good morning everyone,
It was such a pleasure this morning to see our year 1, 2 and 3 children performing in a Harvest assembly and it was wonderful to see the year 6 children present their work last week. Thank you to all who could attend these assemblies, it is great to share what we do in school with all of you and I know how much you enjoy coming. We are now looking forward to assemblies from the other year groups and our Christmas performances from Key Stage 1 and Early Years, I am sure they will be just as terrific.
We are now nearly through the first half term and it really feels like Autumn has taken grip. The children have worked hard settling in to new classes and routines, they are working hard and developing new skills.
We also had the first school trip of the year yesterday when the year 3 children had a visit to Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. The children had a chance to gets hands on with science in the experiment room, they found out about forces and flight in the air and Space Hall and also about Manchester's role in the development of the industry and technology in the main building. The children had a really great time and were talking about the things they had done all the way back to school.
I know that trips are now being planned and booked for other classes and I know that these will bring great excitement to other children across school.
