Headteacher's Blog - Clare Salmon

I would like to welcome everyone back to school and hope you all had a relaxing summer.

The new academic year has started well with the children settling into their new classes and getting to know their teachers. Over the next few weeks you will be able to attend meet the teacher sessions - see the website for dates - where we will share key information to help you support your children. If you didn't attend last year, I would urge you to try and make the date.

You will have noticed the developments on our site. I am pleased to say that the building project has progressed well over the summer and that we are slowly but surely getting things back to normal. The key development is that we will have partial access to our hall which means events such as class assemblies and Christmas concerts will go ahead. I am sure you will be as pleased as we are to hear this news. We also have many improved facilities such as two classrooms and new toilets - the boy's block will follow in the next phase. I have attached photographs for you to have a look at.

We are looking forward to working with you over the coming year. Mr McClean, Mrs Edwards and I will endeavour to blog each Friday so do keep checking the website for updates. Can I just say that I am very pleased with this first blog considering that when I was at secondary school we didn't even have computers! Have a lovely weekend and I hope you dodge the showers.
